Our Catholic Faith brings us true joy when it comes to death and dying. We are tackling all the great issues in this parish-wide study surrounding the end of one's life so that you can prepare with joy for a happy and holy death.
All parishioners are invited to join in this shared partnership between the Adult Formation & Stewardship Teams.
We are excited to have a parish-wide series offered twice a week this Fall at Holy Spirit. (Finish with Joy)
This targeted study leads you through the wisdom of the Scriptures, Catechism, and Saints to unpack the topic of finishing with Joy.
Have you ever been fascinated with the following questions: -How do I better understand our Catholic teachings on purgatory? -How can my family ensure a priest is at my bedside for the Last Rites, Anointing of the Sick, and the Apostolic Pardon? -What is an out-of-body or near-death experience? -What does the Catholic Funeral Liturgy reveal about our belief in Life Everlasting? -How do I best pass on my Legacy of Faith to my loved ones? -How can I prepare for both my personal and final judgement? -How can I best offer indulgences for my loved ones? -Why do we offer Masses for the repose of souls of our loved ones? -How do I make amends with loved ones? -Why does the Church allow cremations? -What do the saints tell us the Beatific Vision is like?
We are excited to have guest speakers Dr. Paul Camarata (Who specializes in brain surgery) & The Sister Servants of the Lord (Who give assistance to those who are dying.) come share at specific sessions.
There is no fee to attend.

What you need to know: 1) Come as you are… While I will email out each week what you can pre-read to help you best experience the lesson and discussion, never let that prevent you from joining us if you haven't had a chance to pre-read. 2) Bring your Bible & Catechism. 3) We will have table discussions each session, and this is a great chance to get to know other parishioners and be inspired to live and learn your Catholic Faith. 4) I will have a handout with some helpful information and other notes for each session.
