The individual initiates this process. You can use a credit card or a debit card. Holy Spirit Parish does NOT have access to your account, account number, or personal information. Regular credit card fees are charged to Holy Spirit Parish.
Holy Spirit Parish initiates these transactions upon receiving authorization from the parishioner by completing the Automated Giving Form (AGF) and returning it to the Parish Office. Holy Spirit Parish withdraws the designated contribution from parishioners’ checking/savings accounts either on the 10th or 20th of the month, as selected by the parishioner.
Automated giving remains in effect until the parishioner provides written notice that they no longer wish for the withdrawals to occur. To sign up, download theAutomated Giving Form, and email it to the parish office or drop it off.
To increase/decrease established automated giving amounts, contact the parish accountants at [email protected]
Online banking is offered at every bank. As the bank account holder, you set up different “payees” to pay their bills. You can set Holy Spirit as a “payee” and create a payment that will be sent automatically to Holy Spirit from your bank account. To sign up, log in to your online banking. For assistance with setup, please get in touch with your bank's customer service department.
Tithing envelopes are sent to a registered parishioner unless you have indicated you do not want to receive envelopes. Please notify Niki Merfen at [email protected] with any questions.
Many parishioners make gifts of stock to our parishes and school. They find with this benefit that they can avoid capital gains tax on the sale of appreciated stock, receive a charitable income tax reduction, and know that they have used this financial gift from God to further the impact of the ministerial and outreach work of our parish.
Parishioners interested in making a donation of Stock to Holy Spirit Parish may contact the Parish Accountant at [email protected]

Employee matching gift programs are corporate giving programs in which companies match donations made by employees to eligible nonprofit organizations. It is an easy way for our parishioners to double their contribution to Holy Spirit Parish.
To determine if your company offers a matching gift program, please get in touch with your human resources department.
December is a crucial month for IRA and 401(k) owners who are 73 years old or older. The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) reminds taxpayers who are 73 years old or to take their required minimum distribution (RMD) by December 31. Because some retirement plan custodians take time to process RMD requests, you should start your IRA or 401(k) withdrawal by mid-December.

A Donor-Advised Fund (DAF) is a charitable giving account held by a public charity (like a community foundation or financial firm) where you donate assets, get an immediate tax deduction, and then recommend grants to other charities over time, allowing your donations to grow tax-free and supporting your philanthropic vision. It's like a personal charitable savings account, offering simplicity, tax benefits, and a way to involve family in giving without the administrative burden of a private foundation.
