All women are invited to join the Women’s Scripture Study on Tuesday mornings. Our study generally coincides with the school year. We meet from 9:00 am to 11:15 am in the Martha/Mary Room.
Our purpose is to grow in grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, so that we might all give greater glory to God. Our study includes a 4–part process of home preparation, small group discussions, a lecture or DVD presentation and review. We also set aside occasional meetings for potluck and fellowship.
There is a cost for the study materials ($75-$85 per year, scholarships are available).
We Will Offer 3 Studies This Year: 2025-2026
The first is a 16-week course on “THE BOOK OF HEBREWS” by Scott Hahn & Mark Shea, exploring how Jesus Christ’s New Covenant fulfills the Old Covenant. Lectures are provided by Fr. Mitch Pacwa, starting September 9.
Our second study, "REAL SUFFERING" by Dr. Bob Schuchts, will last only 4 weeks. This is scheduled to start in February 2026. This study examines the experiences and trials of Jesus, Mary, and Peter during the Passion, Death, and Resurrection, providing valuable preparation for Lent.
Our final study will be "THE BOOK OF RUTH" by Steve Ray, with lectures by Fr. Patrick Winslow. Ruth is a powerful love story that helps us learn to trust God. This 4-week study begins in early March.
